| The FTP area to upload your website to is for people who are building their websites on their machine locally using a web building app like for example Dreamweaver or Freeway. The ftp location is;
ftp.yourdomain.com
'yourdomain' is the name of your website, and '.com' is the tld extension for your website. Make sure to use 'passive mode' for data tranfers.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you upload your files to the PUBLIC_HTML or www directory on the server otherwise they will not be visible on the internet. Also, please be sure that your homepage is saved as an "index" file e.g., index.htm, index.html, etc. We suggest you download smart ftp from http://smartftp.com if you do not already have an ftp client. |
