| The Domain Name Service (DNS) is where all information about each server on the internet is stored. When you type into your browser www.apple.com/uk, the query goes instantly to the nearest name server on your ISP (internet service provider). This then routes your query to the correct server, wherever that may be. When you purchase a domain, you need to tell the domain registrar (where you purchased the domain from) which name server you are listed in, so that all of the DNS servers around the world know where to send the query when someone types in your website address in their browser.
The name server address is what you will need to transfer any domain names held elsewhere. For example if you purchased your domain (fredblogs.com) from another provider, you will need to get them to transfer the name servers to ours. They are;
